Results for the past week

We had a decent week by most standards I guess you could say.  Tuesday in Hartford was just a bad night all around for us.  We've been fighting a few gremlins in getting our motor running, and it reared it's head again that night.  Then a stuck throttle pedal pretty much ended our night.  On to Brainerd, and a good showing overall.  The track was really tough early and pretty one lane, but we ended up in the dash and a 3rd place starting spot for the A main.  We were passed right away by two cars, and then got going pretty good....even reeling in the few cars in front of us a little, but no lapped traffic to help us catch them in time so a 5th place finish is where it stood.  Rain in Owatonna sent us home before even getting to the race track, but not for lack of trying.  Saturday Jake Peters agreed to drive in Huron, and again those gremlins popped up, but we finally may have found out what we've been doing wrong thanks to Jake.  A little tune to our motor after running 4th in our heat and we'd be starting 12th in the A main.  The track laid rubber a little less than 1/2 way into the race, but we managed to make our way to 5th by the end so we can't really complain too much.  I think we could've made a little noise had the motor run a little better in the heat and we'd made it to the dash, but that's racing.  Not too sure just yet what's coming up schedule-wise, but I'll try to keep everyone posted as soon as I can.

Updated Schedule

We're ready for some action this week!  I just got off the phone with a few people and we have our schedule and drivers pretty well lined up for the week.  Clint Garner will be the driver Tuesday night in Hartford, SD, Wednesday night in Brainerd, MN, and Thursday night in Owatonna, MN.  Clint will then move on to his car at Knoxville this Saturday....good luck to him!    See everyone at the races this week!

This Upcoming Weeks Action

First of all, congratulations out to Clint and his wife Sommer on the birth of their first child!  Clint seems pretty excited about the venture into fatherhood, so we all wish him the best of luck.  Obviously Clint's wife having their baby was the reason we didn't make it down to Denison Saturday night.  We'd have loved to come and race but things like this are only a few times in your life, so racing took the back seat this Saturday.  That being said, we will be in Hartford, Brainerd, and Owatonna (we think), for these 3 shows.  Clint will be driving for us at these shows, and we look forward to running well at all of them.  Quite and eventful weekend in the upper midwest as far as sprint car racing goes.  Lots of big wins for drivers, some winning and being dq'd, and a few others having unfortunate luck and ending up in crashes while running well.  This is the best part of summer....things are heating up everywhere and we look to make a mark somewhere in the scene!  See all of you at the races!

What to do, what to do

This past week has been a rollercoaster of many things!  We finally found another motor, and that will be in our trailer next week we hope.  That's the good news for the week.....now onto other news.  Travis Whitney has injured his back and won't be able to drive for us in the coming week.  I have Clint Garner lined up to race Saturday in Denison, and I planned to talk to him about running all of next week with us as well.  Clint is in the hospital today with his wife, and they are having their first baby sometime today!  Congratulations to Clint and his new family!  We're not sure yet where that leaves us for Saturday in Denison now, but it sounded as if Clint is still interested in driving next week.  We'll see what happens, and I'll try to keep you up to date as best I can on who will be driving all of these shows in the next week.

Racing Saturday 6-16

We've decided that we're going to race in Denison this Saturday with the ASCS National tour.  Clint Garner will be driving for us that night, and we hope to have a good showing down there.  It's a big and fast place and it's alot of fun to race there.  Hopefully things go well!  As of now, we're planning on running Hartford, SD and Brainerd, MN on the 19th and 20th with Travis Whitney along with the 23rd in Huron, SD.  Travis is currently suffering a back problem and we're not too sure if he's gonna make it through the week or not!!  Here's to a quick recovery and good health to Travis!  Hope to see all the fans at the races....stop down and see us when you're there!

Saturday 6-9

We're pleased by the races on Saturday to say the least.  Our result didn't show just how good we really were.  Running 3rd with 5 laps left and being the fastest car on the track is a pretty good feeling....then the left rear tire goes flat.  We put another tire on, but I told Jody to just go out, ride around, and stay out of trouble.  It was unfortunate, but that's part of racing.  We all had a good time, and felt that we accomplished our goal of running well while shaking the car and engine down.  Things all went as planned!

It's Coming!!!

It's time to go racing.  This Saturday 6-9, we're going to finally knock the cobwebs off of everything and get back to the track.  We figure we need a tune up prior to the ASCS National shows to make sure the motor runs good and everything is in order, so we're going to race in Jackson.  Looking forward to heading back out and having some fun.  Hope to see you all there!
