Biography

Team HistoryTeam Crown Racing begain in 1992 by a few people looking to race and have a little fun on the weekends. Since that time, it's become one of the more formidable teams in the Upper Midwest sprint car racing scene.

Team Crown has had wins at a number of tracks in Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota, as well as two track championships. Drivers Jeff Johnson, Travis Whitney and Jesse Drost have all been winning drivers for the team.

In 2006 we had the good fortune of finishing 9th out of 137 cars at the Knoxville 360 Nationals with Clint Garner and finishing 14th out of 99 cars at the Short Track Nationals in Little Rock, AR with Travis Whitney piloting the car. The Mighty Mouse 27 was one of only 5 cars in the nation to start the A main event at both of those prestigious events.

The 2007 season will again have several drivers in the car. Brian Brown, Travis Whitney and Clint Garner are all planning to pilot the Team Crown car. We enjoyed the racing we did with them in 2006 and expect to have an even better time this year. It's likely there will be a few other drivers that may take a shot at winning in the car as well.

2007 plans are to be at as many ASCS Northern Plains events as we can and to race the Jackson Nationals, Knoxville 360 Nationals and a few local tracks occasionally.
